2015 Travel Highlights

VK-69

I’ve been a bad, bad blogger with minimal posting in 2015. I attribute it to wedding planning, but moving forward I will be far more post-y. It’s actually my top resolution! Even though I’ve been pretty quiet on the blog, it doesn’t mean that this year has not been full of travel fun. It’s been one of my best years because I had my perfect wedding in Barbados AND honeymooned in my absolute dream destination, the Maldives! So without further ado, here are some of my top memories.

Barbados: Marrying my LOVE in front of family and our closest friends.

Maldives: Everything about the Maldives was absolutely perfect! The food, snorkeling, rooms, seaplane ride – literally every part of it! But a particular highlight was our water villa in resort #1, Constance Moofushi.

Istanbul: The first stop of our honeymoon was a pretty intense city, but we definitely created memories! One of the highlights was our Bosphorous boat tour. The houses, hotels and landscape along the way were all gorgeous.

Canterbury: Taking a canal ride through the lovely town, and eating traditional English breakfast every morning.

London: Tea time at The Grovesnor Hotel – I was SO happy and SOOO full after!

Belgium: Getting lost in the winding streets of Bruges.

Barbados: Watching my first Crop Over band launch – it’s like Victoria’s Secret, but about 10x more exciting.

Dublin: Drinking a Guinness at the top of the factory where it’s made!

San Diego: Watching on of my college besties get married – and giving a speech that made me a bit too emotional.

Dyker Heights: This is a local highlight, but I saw the famous Brooklyn Christmas lights for the first time this year and they were amazing! I’ve never seen such a festive neighborhood and visiting definitely got me into the holiday spirit.
